Leh Ladakh Bike Trip Itinerary
Day 1 :- Leave from Delhi for Manali.
Day 2 :- Stay in Manali, day is free for relaxation if you want you can visit the local market.
Day 3:- From Manali to Jispa: This morning, we will start our journey to Jispa, which is 140 kilometres from Manali. By the time we reach Rohtang Pass, you will be awestruck by the Himalayan splendour (3,978m). The remarkable lush green valley and hairpin bend will provide a pleasing bike ride. After crossing our first pass, we’ll enter the Lahaul valley and ride by the Chandra River until late afternoon, when we’ll arrive in Jispa (3,200m). We’ll build a bonfire and spend the night here. Staying in Jispa is also suggested, as the altitude climbs, your body will begin to acclimatise.
Day 4:- We went out early in the morning from Jispa to Sarchu, fully charged, for the Baralacha Pass (4900m). The Zanskar Range’s Baralacha La is a high mountain pass that is mostly covered with snow all over the year. In the evening, we will arrive in Sarchu (4300m). Sarchu is a huge plateau with beautiful, Mars-like scenery. Cliffs with sandcastle-like needle-like constructions are straining to reach the sky. Remember to go to bed a little early because it’s going to be a long day.
Day 5:- From Sarchu to Leh, there’s a lot to see. Today will be a big day for us because we’ll be crossing three passes, one of which is the second highest in the world. Soon as the sun shines, we’ll be on our way. The 21 hairpin twists of the Gata loops continue to climb towards the Nakila and Lachungla Passes. In the afternoon, we’ll stop at Pang for lunch and refreshment. Before heading to Tanglang La Pass (5328m), the world’s second highest motorable road pass, we’ll see 50 kilometres of flatlands. Prepare to shoot some breathtaking shots, the surrounding resembles a Yeti-created football field. We will arrive in Leh (3500m), in the evening. We all need complete relaxation after such a long day.
Day 6:- Stay for some local sightseeing in Leh. In Leh, today is a day for relaxation, exploration, and enjoyment. We’ll visit Shanti Stupa and the monasteries in that area. The architecture and beauty of Shanti Stupa are indescribable. The elevation of Shanti Stupa allows us to see the entire landscape of Leh Ladakh. Spend the evening in Leh’s dazzling market.
Day 7:- From Leh to Nubra, Our first mission today is to drive to the top of the world – the Khardungla Pass (5359m), the world’s highest motorable pass, located 40 kilometres from Leh. Following that, we’ll travel to the Nubra Valley. We’ll be staying underground in the high-altitude desert. Natural beauty abounds in the sand dunes and bleak surroundings. Don’t forget about the Bactrian camel with two hump.
Day 8:- From Nubra to Pangong,
In the morning, we will begin our walk to Pangong Lake. We’ll continue on Agham Shyok Road side by side to the Shyok River. Along the way, we may have to cross many huge bodies of water. After a 6-hour ride, we will arrive at Pangong Lake (4,250m), also known as Pangong Tso, which means high grassland lake. In terms of beauty, this site is not like any other in India. Because of its serenity and remoteness and its tranquillity, it has a distinct appeal. The lake is around 5 kilometres wide and 134 kilometres long, with China accounting for 60% of its length.
Day 9:- If you are lucky enough to witness the most beautiful morning of your life anywhere between Pangong and Leh, you will count yourself really blessed. If you dare, you can take a dip in it. In the early afternoon, we’ll travel to Leh through Changla Pass (5300m), the world’s third highest motorable pass. Due to massive water torrents, Changla Pass is the steepest ascent and most difficult crossing. It has the potential to put your off-road skills to the test. We will arrive in Leh in the evening. Remember to get a good night’s sleep tomorrow because we’ll be travelling the longest ride back home.
Day 10:- We’ll leave early in the morning for the Leh-Manali highway from Leh to Jispa. Today’s ride will be very lengthy, as we’ll be on the road for 8 to 10 hours. Before continuing on to Manali, we’ll stop for lunch at Pang. Riding with friends, especially in this type of atmosphere, is a once-in-a-lifetime event. We’ll arrive in Jispa in the evening & have a bonfire and music to celebrate our journey.
Day 11:- After cycling from Jispa to Manali and then to Delhi, it’s time to return to Jispa after the sunrise today. We’ll stop at Sissu Lake along the route, where there can also be an admirable waterfall called Palam Dhara. We’ll eat lunch in Koksar after that. In the late afternoon, we shall arrive in Manali.
